Dark Powers (DP) is a teamplay modification for Half-life 2 Deathmatch (HL2DM). DP adds a layer of strategic area control gameplay on top of the standard HL2DM team play. Spawn points are captured by overloading combine consoles with dark energy pellets AKA combine balls. Spawns can also have attached devices to help their teams, such as weapons and health dispensers.

DP_Nova , inspired by the Nova Prospektt chapter from HL2 and is the 1st gameplay map for DP, so please excuse me if it's a bit rough.

The basic layout has 2 fold symmetry, to encourage balanced gameplay, although the details in each quadrant are being themed differently in order to make it less samey and easier to navigate.

Initially it's using a compass heading naming convention for the spawns. Currently the rebel start is in the North-east, with the combine start in the South west. Although this makes sense in hammer it turns out to be confusing to the player in-game as they have no compass. Once the rooms have been detailed more I should be able to rename them to describe their setting to make for a more intuitive description.
