Dark Horizons: The Legions Return mod for Unreal Tournament 2003

Single Player

6000 years ago, when the earth was still young, many civilizations existed in our universe. After years of fighting, a rule has been set to finish the endless wars between species, to make sure that the variety of species could be preserved. Every species was allowed to choose 4 beings to fight in the name of the entire race. I was one of them.

We fought many wars, ending up at the final battle. We fought for many days and nights, on a deserted planet, anticipating the enemy’s every move. At the end, victory was ours. We were granted the Nishtak, an eternal sleep in a blissful state of mind. It is an honour that has only been given to 5 members of my species, apart from the other 3 that helped me in battle. We slept for 6000 years, until recently, our sleep was disturbed...

The single player plot will guide you along beautiful locations, solve puzzles, learn about the mysteries of other alien civilization, and of course, save the universe. The theme is classical, the way we are going to bring it to you won't be.

Development will start after the completion of the multiplayer part of the mod. The SP will require Unreal 2. We are not revealing anything more about the single player part, parts of the story are still being written. By the time our multiplayer stuff is done, we hope to have our entire design ready.

Multiplayer

At this moment we are focusion on 3 Core Dominion, one of the gametypes that we are bringing to the Unreal Tournament 2003 community. We will not reveal a lot about this gametype yet. It mainly focuses on shifting teams spawns on the map, depending on the areas which you control. It forces you to use every part of the map in your advantage, rather than letting you know upfront when to throw your grenade at one of the choke points and be 35% sure that you hit someone. We are thriving to bring you the best gameplay with the best graphics. We put our goals extremely high, and we'll do everything in our power to make sure that we reach each of those goals.
