Daedalus is a science fiction mod set in 2135. In the single-player game, one assumes the role of Alex Calveres, the captain of a deep-space exploration vessel with a motley crew of characters that are different in every sense but work together well. An employee for the Orion Federal Conglomorate, Alex was told to break his usual schedule of exploration and patrol to deliver a government package to a research facility in a distant star system. The single-player story begins on Earth where you are told of your unusual mission, when you arrive at the station you discover that a horrible and sinister catastrophy has occured, and the station is adrift in a now devastated star system, you travel over to the stricken station to investigate and what you find out ends up throwing one's character into a search for answers and truth. I have revised two alpha versions of the MOD myself already, and it is looking as if i will be able to release Alpha 0.3 on january 31st as planned. It will definitely include the following: * Spirit 1.2 engine (with particle effects) * First 3 maps with cutscenes (no voice just subtitles) * New sidearm

I have revised two alpha versions of the MOD myself already, and it is looking as if i will be able to release Alpha 0.3 on january 31st as planned. It will definitely include the following:
* Spirit 1.2 engine (with particle effects)
* First 3 maps with cutscenes (no voice just subtitles)
* New sidearm with custom weapon sound
* Custom splash screen menu system
* Custom daedulus theme to run with credits
* 2 multiplayer deathmatch maps (edusan and square)
* Limited Hazard Course

if you want to receive this alpha you need to let me know coz i will be passwording the ZIP file. PM me if interested. Of course being an alpha version you must realise that it is for internal testing only and to push development, it is not a game in any sense of the word yet!
