Czechoslovakia was sold out by UK and France to give up their weapons and big part of territory in belief they would prevent WW2 to happen. Even through Czechoslovakia had over 1 million men ready to give their lives to their country. They were not allowed to defend own country.

It is truly a shame what happened to Czechia because of the Munich agreement. Tens of thousands of Czechs would die in CCs because of their religion.

Hey, sorry for very delayed reaction. Moddb for some reason doesn't have option to notify about new comments. Me personally, I am Czech.
The vast majority who died because of their religion died because they were Jewish... But a lot of Czechs also died simply because they were Czech (Slavs...). Heidrich's plan was to "re-nationalize the Czechs" (make them into Germans) and to "re-locate" (exterminate) the rest. That's why he was eventually assassinated.
The thing is that the Czechs would have seen their country destroyed (the battle plan was, once the frontier defenses were breached to do a fighting retreat into the mountains of Slovakia and to stay there, with the army still largely intact until "the Allies" (France and the Soviet Union) would launch offensives against Germany.
It is remarkable that the CZECH leadership was willing to sacrifice THEIR OWN (CZECH part of the) COUNTRY for the sake of fighting Hitler. But when the French decided that they were not going to fight without Britain and Britain made it clear that they were _not_ going to war for the sake of the Czechs, the math just didn't add up. The Czechs would have sacrificed their country for nothing.
I'm of Czech descent as well and know well what the Munich Crisis / Betrayal did to the Czech psyche.
I'm honestly looking forward to _at least a game_ where Czechs can fight the Nazis AS CZECHS. Thanks for doing this / "děkuji moc krát" -- Zdeněk Křížů ;-)
