Chapter One is released!
The CS has:
- Very detailed mapping, focused on atmosphere while utilizing a lot of plains to create very custom-like areas.
- Three voice actors at the moment with many short-lines as well as flashbacks.
- Plenty of scares to create tension for the real encounters.
- Very unique puzzles!
- An interesting story led by flashbacks, notes, mapping and other means.
- Continuous use of custom sounds and music.
EDIT: v1.10 out with lots of bug-fixes and significantly improved hinting. Hope ya don't get stuck no more! ^_^

There will be no more CS building for me in the near future.
Enjoy Confusion for what it is! The current story does not, in any way, rely or depend upon further content being released. It is completely independent on its own.
For those who have played it, especially people who made let's plays which are so fun to watch, thank you for trying it out.

Maybe it could be finished. It would be nice to finish this project actually. But I wonder if there is an audience for Amnesia anymore?
There is, and they would notice if an above average custom story was released. Confusion was great and it's still among one of my favorite custom stories. It really deserves a proper end.
I don't think it matters whether or not there's an audience for Amnesia. I don't think that warrants never finishing something. I just finished this custom story right now, and I'm disappointed to see there's not a chapter 2.
Also, I'm sure you're not interested in updating this anymore, but there's a glitch in Chapter 1. The door that raises and lowers, that you're required to block with a strong enough object to go through, it creates an invisible wall that refuses to let you pass.
I had to use the dev console and enable Fast Physics Load, Save/Exit, come back in, and walk my way through the wall just to get passed it. It's literally unfinishable otherwise.
Edit: Well, apparently someone mentioned a metal rod. Uh. I never found one, despite how much time I put into looking everywhere. I blocked the door using a hammer I placed vertically underneath it.
Hey Zoofyooo. Man something must have been bugged if the metal rod was missing. It should have just been fairly visible on one of the shelves in the room next to the door.
You are right that right now I don't quite have the time to update this. But it would be so satisfying to finish it. I also just finished my 5-year CS degree so I know it would go 100 times faster to code the puzzles.
In any case, thanks for playing ^^. Always fun to hear that people played the custom story.
