Our story starts as professor and colonel Ian Burns boards the train to the Carson Power Complex, a desolate power plant far beyond the city outskirts. Ian have the important job to inspect the complex in means of safety and work conditions. If anything goes wrong in a place like that, it could be fatal both to the workers and the people who rely on the electricity they produce. In addition to the safety inspections, he will also get a tour through the laboratories where several new technologies are being created. As our hero emerges the power complex, the combine have already started their assault and taken over the complex.
