Total Conversion mod. Takes Company of Heroes from WW2 to the Vietnam Conflict.
This is the decided main menu music for now
I dont own the rights on the song in any way
you should use trashman surfin bird :) but this is good too
I would suggest looking into Battlefield Vietnam, they have some good music choices. Namely, I would suggest "All Along the Watchtower"-Hendrix, "Gimme Shelter"-Stones, "Fortunate Son"-CCR, and "White Rabbit"-Jefferson Airplane
I literally have my Ipod dedicated to Vietnam era music haha.
i think you should have a number of songs play through the menu and maby when you call in the 7th cav music plays from the hueys. some song suggestions
Buffalo Springfield - For What Its Worth
Count Five - Psychotic Reaction
Canned Heat - On the Road Again
The Trashman - Surfin Bird
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit(personally i think this song fits the menu)
The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night
I Fought the Law - Bobby Fuller Four
In my opinion maybe you should have Fortunate Son as your menu music or For What it's worth
A bit overdone IMO...
I know almost every song of 1960, and id suggest you use
Somebody help me - Spencer Davis Group
Keep on running - Spencer Davis Group
White rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
Psychotic Reaction - Count Five
For your love - The yardbirds
Ride of the valkyries - Budhapest Symphony Orchestra (?)
Tired of waiting - The kinks (The soldiers in nam really said it was often boring as they mostly sat in trenches or in the deep jungle waiting for the enemy for hours)
Adiago for string / platoon theme - Samuel barber
And/Or
Tracks of my tears - Smokey Robinson
Keep in mind i did not list songs like Fortunate son, cause as Captain.S.Cope already said, they are overused/overdone.
As it stands the main menu music being used in game is Sympathy for the devil - Rolling Stones, it may change depending on what the play-testers decide, I think it's between this and that song from mow:vietnam main menu.
A song i remember listening to back in those days was Deep Purple: Hush
a few more are
Kinks - All Day And All Of The Night
Creedence Clearwater - Fortunate son
Bob Seger - Ramblin Gamblin Man
one more I just cant resist to post wold be Paint it Black - Rolling stones
