Yuri have always relied on his Boomers for naval combat and land assaults. But with other factions sporting good anti-sub abilities, the Boomers became very vulnerable. When Yuri needed the Boomers for land assaults, most of them were sunk by other naval forces after getting into combat with them, leaving Yuri with no way of pulling of sea-based assaults on enemy bases. The Boomers also suffered greatly by Allied Destroyers and WoF Sub Hunters, both which are equipped with a anti-sub aircraft; the Boomers did not have any defense against aircrafts.

Yuri was quick to resolve this problem by building a proper navy. He have built two new vessels for his navy: the Kraken Attack Sub and the Gattling Boat. The Kraken, which shares the same parts with the Boomer, is Yuri's main attack ship. Its armed with the Boomer's torpedoes for use against other watercraft. The Gattling Boat provides anti-air cover and also some offense against other ships and land-borne units close to shores. Like it's land-borne counterparts, the longer it's guns are allowed to spin, the stronger they get.

The Boomer is still in active service, but strictly as a sea-based artillery platform. It still uses it's cruise missiles to strike a deadly blow on any ground target or any targets on the surface of the water from long range. Its naval combat role is now served by the Kraken.
