Description

The Technician is the Chimera's answer to the Allies' Support Specialist. Like the Support Specialist, the Technician is an engineer and a medic of sorts. Instead of using conventional medikits, they contaminate an area with a special chemical called Stroyent. This blood-red chemical has the ability to heal anything, organic or mechanical, just by getting exposed to it. It only last for so long though as it will eventually evaporate harmlessly into thin air.

Technicians can somehow generate a constant supply of Stroyent, although the process of generating a capsule of it takes time. Thus, Technicians can't simply dump loads of Stroyent around, being limited to contaminating one area at a time. Enemies can also utilize the Stroyent so Technician must be careful where they use it. In addition to Stroyent and engineering tools grafted on them, they wear special hazmat suits which renders them immune to radiation and harmful chemicals. They are unarmed though, making them high value targets...

Trivia: This unit was inspired by the Strogg Technician class from Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, where it served as the Strogg's medic by providing teammates with Stroyent Cells which replenishes health and ammo. The idea behind giving him a hazmat suit was inspired by the Nod Saboteur from CnC3.
