The Slime Colony is the Chimera's version of an Attack Dog. They are actually heavily mutated slime molds, a type of fungus made up of smaller organisms capable of growing on nearly anything and/or everywhere. They are rumored to be able to move about. The Chimera were able to mutate them into the monstrosity you see here, making them larger, smarter, faster and much more developed. They are able to heal themselves and survive in radiated or contaminated areas (such areas are their 'natural habitat') They attack by spitting poisonous acids at point-blank range. These acids can kill infantry very quickly but are extremely weak against anything else. If killed, they explode in a mass of acidic chemicals which contaminates a small area. They are created for anti-infiltrator purposes, its no surprise these lumps of slime are smart enough to tell friend from foe thanks to their intelligence.
