Hello people! Don't give up on me yet! I have still been making some slow progress on Chapter 4, I'm actually nearly ready to start on Chapter 5 which I have a ton of ideas for! There's also a secret collaborative project that I've been working on in spare time. I'll leave you all with an overview of Chapter 4 as of today! (It's pretty massive)
Wow, it has been exactly 375 days since I last posted here.
During all of that time I've kept myself busy with 2 jobs, school and a TAFE course. I have also picked up a time wasting Minecraft addiction (mostly on PwegoServer). Now I bet you're all asking "What's been happening with City Freerun?" and my straight up answer to that is: Not much at all. My excuse apart from being busy is that I have, sadly, lost some interest in the Source Engine. I really don't know how, possibly:
If I decide not to finish City Freerun, I will still release everything that has been done so far, or hand over the project to someone else.

Definitely
Its like a disease when it comes to mod productivity...
I think you mean productivity in general.
Well I hope you've been having fun hitting all them blocks n' placing blocks and killing Mr.Creeper
DEAD
Well, I have to disagree with the excuse of Source's limits. They are there, but there are so many loopholes that you can take advantge of, like Propper. That being said, try using propper on the background buildings, repetitive architecture like tunnel supports, etc.
Thanks for the suggestion although I actually have been using Propper, and quite a lot since I like to include much detail in the levels. I've hit the limit of T-juncs multiple times on Chapter 4 so that has lead me to optimizing the level even more than it already was and using less func_details and more props, which takes time.
Now, I'm no lighting expert (refer to Hiyougami)but props use different lighting to brushes and in many cases it doesn't look as good.
There's also a limit to the amount of props you can have in a single level. Spliting a level is an option, but I don't think you'd like to be running along doing your thang then all of a sudden "Loading" appears in your face.
Dosycool, can you release what you've already done? Perhaps the community could continue the project. Or, at least, we could enjoy your creation even it's unfinished.
Oh, I was reading inattentively. Don't answer. :)
I'll answer anyway and give more info.
Recently I have been getting some more time on my hands, and my Minecraft addiction is wearing out (yes!). And therefore I have been getting back into Source SDK, it's all coming back to me.
So after a long absence from the mapping/modding community and from developement on City Freerun, I am back to finish what I started, or get as much done as I can. :)
If something does happen and I decide not to finish the mod entirely, I WILL either:
-Finish any levels that I have started, then release them for GarrysMod.
OR
-Hand over the project to someone that is willing to complete it. And has proven that they are good enough to continue it.
