Aliens Colonial Mariens / Cilitbäng Pack / V1.8
- Fixed the reboot bug after closing the game
- No HUD-Effect
- No AI freezing (could be placebo effect)
- Fixed the reboot bug after closing the game.
- No HUD-Effect. No coloured HUD on Stasis interupted. I know you can´t see it on the screenshot (inkl. in the download).
Believe me, it works. No more pink HUD.... ;-)
It also removes the 3D Camera - Effect, witch gives the game a huge fps boost, on low machines.
Sounds strange but without the HUD effect the GPU load is reduced for 20% - 25%.
And I can run ACM on a eee PC. O-o
- In the HUD folder are two subfolders- ON & OFF. So you can choose, with ot without HUD effects (colours). I didn´t find a way to toggel it with a binding. :-(
The HUD effects are disabeld in the v 1.8.
- And I messed around with the memory buget (again)....I tested this setting for 3 weeks. No warrior or
lurker freezes in this time in front of me (specially the lurkers). They keeped on moving / hiding
after a attack. Well it could be a placebo effect. :-)
And don´t forget to set the pecan files to read-only.
Guys...It´s not soo much but better then nothing....
Cheers!
Nice to see that you keep updating the mod.
Well...I do what I can...but I have a life to live. ;-)
I did a mod with some friends. But we can´t upload it. It´s not legal. :-(
And it´s almost 10GB big....it´s the whole game with many changes...
- exchanged the w-y soldiers with combat androids. They got white
blood and a robotig voice / sounds. We took the textures from the armored w-y soldiers with the smart gun for the androids.
- more aliens....specially more facehuger / every egg get open
etc....
what!? this is epic!!!! , ive sent you a request pm, please check
woah!I have small request, can you remove 'dinosaur; head aliens from bug hunt and add standard alien warriors?
Nope...sorry!
Man, I really need to see that!
And why should it be illegal?
It´s the whole game, incl. a modifiyd ACM.exe.
So it´s actually not a classic "mod". It´s a stand alone game that starts without steam.
We didn´t found a way (yet) to build the files into the steam version, without editing / modifing the ACM.exe.
In other words...if we upload the "mode" /"game", you get ACM totaly for free. And SEGA don´t like that. ;-)
Ah, I got it.
where I can download this game? thank you
You should contact gearbox to see if they'll let you release it and give you the tech-tools to build it in; the worst they can do is say no.
All you have to do is show them the mod, they might like it enough to give you run of the toolset.
Please upload the mod to get the Xeno eggs to work correctly, this is a major bug in the game that needs to be fixed! If it's a problem with owning the game stopping you releasing it, contact Gearbox/SEGA to see if you can upload the mod to Steam - that way the purchase of the game could be validated before someone downloads it, making it legal.
If you can't release that mod, please could you create one that fixes: eggs hatching, climbing on walls, the detection of damage from Xenos and also the AI!
The game would be so good if those things could be fixed.
What a pity that it can't be builded into steam :( Anyway, I have question, what programs are you using to open files of this game and modifity them? It would be very helpfull for me to know that.
how do i instal
Like the other versions.
Copy and paste into:
C:\Users\Na;me%\Documents\My Games\Aliens Colonial Marines\PecanGame\Config
And set them to read - only!
Done!

I am still experiencing this annoying issue, even after installation of this mod.
Set the ACM.exe to admin.
I have forgot to mention that I have already set ACM.exe to admin and issue stil persist.
Hmm...this is strange?!?
Actually, it is a Steam-Client - Bug. Is Steam up to date?
The reboot bug comes only with older Steamversions.
The Steam client is definitely updated to latest version, I am checking it regularly every day, so I have no idea what is wrong with this.
Maybe it´s a language (region) issue?!?
Yes, I have thinking about this too, I have interface language set to Czech. I will try this in future as I do not have installed A:CM at this time. Anyway, thanks for the response and help, I really appreciate it, not all authors have such a "support" :)
