Unfortunately my old comp don't support cubemapping (but it does support spheremapping). So I'd have to see it on my fast one, which will happen once a month. Fortunately, my oppressive older brother goes off to college in the summer so :D I'll probably be able to get 3ds max running too

I saw that :)

But it looked cool on the Big mech dude on Microsoft DirectX 8 SDK. His whole body was reflecting a town scene, boy does it look neat :)

And I got 3ds max (5) installed and running, but it froze up as soon as I loaded up the "TarrasqueTextured" example model :(

Environment mapping is bad for water too. The only safe things for water we have is pixel shading, EBM (Environment bumpmapping), and cubemapping.

Btw, it reverts to spheremapping if unsupported.
