phew, I shortly started it, after I fiddled around the AI problem... (I took the 1.9.2. AI. Seems to be working for me.)

The GDI sidebar is way too bright and so distracting. The new loading screens are only applying for me for the already existent ones. (I get the CABAL and Forgotten Screen for Nod and GDI) I'll add more things once I get actually some playtime.

To get the loading screens to work you have to add the following lines into your SUN.ini

[Video]
AllowModeToggle=yes

This will force the main menu to stay at 640x400 but ingame will still be the resolution you have set under ScreenWidth and ScreenHeigh. The tag allows the game to use up to 12 loading screens (6 sides each with 2 screens) But if you have not set a widescreen resolution as ingame one, the game can only use 8 loading screens (4 sides each with 2 screens).

I wouldn't complain if I had not done this ;)

Will look about the ingame res.

Looked about it. Adjusted it. (I do have a widescreen monitor, so I just used my vanilla monitor resolution [1440x900]) And yeah, it's still not working as it should. GDI -> Cabal, Nod -> Forgotten, Cabal/Forgotten -> normal black one

This is set in my SUN.ini it's working for me (but for my team member it is not working)

[Video]
AllowModeToggle=yes
AllowHiResModes=yes
ScreenWidth=1900
ScreenHeight=1050
StretchMovies=no

I have to play in windowed mode because of Win8 - which can only emulate 16-bit. My desktop resolution is 1920x1080, but I have to use a little smaller res because the game would crash imediatly after I would hit the down or right side with my mouse.

EDIT: I tried many resolutions from 800x600 to 1920x1080, the screens does always display for the correct faction. I think it is maybe because I am running in windowed mode?

Could be, didn't try it.

Otherwise... ingamewise... GDI already feels somewhat great.  You have enough new toys to fiddle around with, etc. and most of them are pretty fitting into the  GDI theme (of tib sun)

Cabal itself is not ready, is it? I laughed about the Barracks animation [Well, I do have a pretty weird humor]

(everything still needs a bit of polishing, but I think that's clear. )

Yes Cabal and Forgotten are far from complete, but we are going to improve it as much as we can. Some units/buildings are still placeholders.

Well my Feedback:
First of all it is the greatest Tiberian Sun experience ive had up to here. BUt while playing lan there are often random crashes after destroying a unit or after an explosion. I know these are errors of tib sun itself but if you could tell me what to do to prevent crashs or if you could fix it if possible it would be great.
Well Done and keep it going!

Yes I know, I do indeed have myself problems playing in lan. It may help to play with less or no AI, as they need a lot of performance. The netcode of TS is not very well. The game can't handle many units/buildings (especially in MP) Also try not to scroll lika a crazy guy around the map, as it may be to much to handle for the game (mostly with higher resolutions) Also set the details to medium (high setting will cause the game to crash if a laser hits the border of the display) The game will also crash if you scroll up north and a sonic beam is beeing shot into the south border. So be carefull if there is GDI with sonics.

after i get into a game i like to mess around. so when i build every building or at least try to the game freezes when i get to GDI. this is the order i do it in. Forgotten, Nod, GDI and the last building that i usually build is the GDI airfield and when i place it the game freezes

This is strange, for me, I don't get any crashes if I build a GDI helipad. Are you building with one faction all buildings, or how do you mean by the order?

if im playing as the forgotten and i mess around i like to capture the enemy mcv after nearly annihilating them and i capture both gdi and nod, i make sure to get both. so the very last things i build are the three helipads, i go forgotten nod gdi. after building all the buildings except for the helipads i go ahead and build them and then it doesn't actually matter which one i build last and if i build any building after having every building except for the three versions of that building that i like to build the game freezes and then crashes. I've even waited 7 mins. to see if it would unfreeze. this doesn't happen in vanilla Tib. Sun but it does happen with some other mods

It may be a limit by the game itself (for having too much units/buildings buildable) i have to try this myself, so i can give you a better answer.
