Command & Conquer Red Alert History is a small mod that adds a few new units. The idea came about because I wondered what a few Red Alert units would look like and perform inside the Tiberium wars engine. I consider this mod a 'museum', wherein I add a few historical pieces that I like into the C&C3; engine! The Mod will be updated by adding a few units at a time (typically around 10 items). The mod is a mixture of mostly EA & public models, has well has a few original models done by me. Check the forums & articles for detailed information and for in-depth discussion.

To the question) As i remember, in vanila TW beam canon have ability to fire much futher using chain of venom craft. Maybe it will help to build up chain of prism towers?

Good idea.
This was one of the ideas that I had. Unfortunately it seems that the ability (reflector ability) is hard coded to target the base 9lowest point) of the models being used to reflect the beam.

I tried forcing the beam to target specific bones and also tried moving pivot points in 3D Max, but nothing I did made a difference, the beam seems to be hard coded to target the lowest part of the geometry on a model.

Like I said in another post, another attempt will be made in the future to get Prism forwarding to work.

Perhaps you could code a new beam ability based on the vanilla one? I don't think much would need to be different, just the targeting.

but the prism towers didn't transmit the beams of other towers, they boosted the beams, maybe look into the beam cannon's ability to boost obelisks of light

I imagine that targeting glitch has something to do with the fact that it the vanilla version used aircraft and thats why EA hard-coded it. Stupid EA.

Description

Based on 4stargeneral's public model.

This should make light work of Soviet armour!

(The answer to the question is "no it does not").
