After a week of suggestions and five days of voting, the cat has a name.

I must admit, it was kind'a fun to follow this poll all week.

For a time, Hunter and Newton were tied. The lead shifted by 1 vote several times but kept returning to a tie. And for a couple of days, Donut had zero votes. There was even some early vote tampering that had to be edited out using the admin panel.

Now, the vote has expired and it is official.

The loveable little cat of Cat-Life is Newton.

Here's how the final standings locked in.

Newton: 42.6%
Hunter: 24.6%
Lamar: 14.8%
Donut: 9.8%
Argo: 8.2%

On the 24th, there were some 11 votes that appeared for Argo between 4:31 am and 6:36 am. Separation between the first cluster was from 1 minute to 11 minutes apart (an average of 5.14 minutes between votes). Then there was a pause of about 48 minutes. Then two more votes within 1 minute of each other. Another pause and one final vote.

All these votes came from very similar IP's, apparently from the same host. So, I removed all but one of them and turned on the cookie verification in addition to the IP verification and this spam voting seemed to stop.

There were also a few other instances with other cat names. Someone voted once or twice a day for Newton using faked IP's, as an example. There were about six of those votes.

I just removed the multiple votes when something like this arose.
