Carpathian Crosses - The Romanian Army in World War II This is going to be an Add-on for Red Orchestra - Ostfront '41-'45, this means you can play standard maps along with maps like Usatovo or Chisinau. We will introduce new player models, new vehicles and new weapons to the game along with additional gameplay features. Make sure to check our website over at: Or you can join in on our IRC channel at #carpathiancrosses on the irc.gamesurge.net server! While you are waiting for new media (which we plan to give out quite often), we hope you can make yourself comfortable in our forums. To continue the tradition from the RO mod times, we created an "Ideas and Suggestions" forum where you can give your input and help the mod to improve. Also, we are always looking for talented guys to help us out, if you feel you have what it needs (beside skill, time and dedication is the most important), contact us.

We are proud to announce that we have completed our Romanian player models. We have different variations available, ranging from summer weight uniforms to winter uniforms and tanker to mountain infantry. We are proud to announce that we have completed our Romanian player models. We have different variations available, ranging from summer weight uniforms to winter uniforms and tanker to mountain infantry. You might wonder how you’re going to distinguish these once you are deployed to the battlefield. The answer to that is the collar insignia and shoulder board insignia. Every variation will have different insignias to indicate rank and branch of service We will also include plenty of headgear variations in order to accommodate various environmental settings in combat.

You can find more detailed pictures of the Romanian soldiers here.

As you can see our Romanian tanker is ready for battle. You might wonder what enemies he will be facing, so let’s take a look at some early war Soviet armor. The T-26 was widely used in the early days on the Eastern Front, especially in the defense of Chisinau, where they played a significant role in trying to repel the invasion forces. Since we're on the topic of weaponry, we are also pleased to bring you the Romanian built Orita sub machine gun.
