High Queen Khalida Neferher was the Warrior-Queen of the city-state of Lybaras, a well respected figure across the lands of Nehekhara.
Her equally beautiful cousin, Queen Neferata of Lahmia, falsely accused Khalida of treason at a banquet with the intention of assassination. Khalida, rising to defend her honour, did not choose a champion to fight for her, accepting the task for herself. Neferata's purpose was to quiet Khalida, who was under the suspicion that Neferata had studied necromancy and drunk from the Elixir of Damnation. Khalida attacked with a fearsome might, but she could not hope to defeat Neferata. Her cousin had become a Vampire, possessing unholy speed and strength granted by the Elixir. Eventually, to the horror of the guests, Khalida was struck down by Neferata. In the end the Vampire, after biting deeply into the throat of Khalida, bit her own tongue and let the blood fall across Khalida so that the two would mingle.
Knowing her fate, of that of a Vampire, Khalida cried out to the gods to save her. The Nehekharan asp goddess, Asaph, heard her cries and appeared to the dying Queen in a vision. The appearance of the goddess cleansed Khalida's body of the Vampiric taint and Khalida's last breath was that of a human. Her body was borne back to Lybaras and was buried in the temple of the Asp Goddess in a seated position. However, even in death, she could not find peace, for a few years later, Nagash once more returned to the lands of his birth, and unleashed the Spell of Undeath upon the land.
When long dead Kings and Princes woke, they began to fight over the domination of Nehekhara. It was the High Queen who won the war against the other Tomb Kings and is now ruling the land of Lahmia.
Due to the betrayal of Neferata, Khalida has a burning loathing for Vampires and will not rest in peace until the last Vampire is slain.
very interesting charachter and nice looking model
Isn't she looking fabulous? Every fashion model admires her waist xD
Just skin and bones, embalming chic.
Embalming chic for an embalmed chick.
Interesting story. I suppose she kinds of supports the Empire in a way or another?
Dude, no one supports the Empire. Not even the Empire.
Ahahahahahhah xD
"Son, what keeps the empire alive, is that our mutual hate for each other is less than our mutual hate for everyone else."
No, not really. She's very far from the Empire at game start. She has no reasons to fight the Empire, and they share enemies, but they're not allies.
The model for the tomb kings on the campaign map looks good. :)
So she'll be a tomb king general?
Yes, she's one of their top named characters, so a very strong general.
I know I probably shouldn't be giving you guys any new suggestions, but have you considered adding Arkhan the black as either a tomb king or rebel general?
We're planning on eventually adding as many named characters that are alive (or reasonably could be alive/could return) as possible.
perhaps she deserves to wear a dress/skirt part since shes that important, that could make her look abit less skinny xDD
With the curse of undeath I doubt shes worried about how she looks.
Might tweak her a little more to give her a bit more mass, since she's mummified and not fully skeleton. The basics of the model are done, though.
She is...Creepy and beautiful.More charming than Tzarina.
When looking at pictures remember there's something called "angle" and "perspective".
I have question? Will there be a family tree and will agents have life spans?
Family trees depend on the faction. The campaign will take place over a single lifetime, unless you keep playing after the game over.
Is she gonna be foot infantry of have a chariot like Settra?
Current plan is a high quality foot archer bodyguard, kind of like the Elves in Third Age Total War. This reflects her special abilities from the tabletop, where she turns a unit of Archers into some of the best in the game.
Nice. I'd love to that!
... I'd tap that.
