This first image shows a guard room overlooking one of the prison bays. In addition, the window you see will be fitted with glass which will be fully destructable via prisoners using melee weapons to break it open and jump inside, if they are rioting etc.
This second image shows the guard room from the upper level of the prison bay. As you can see in the images, they have a futuristic effect with the curved brushes rather than blocky one's.
This final image shows the prison bay so far, the layout is still not complete yet, more images will be shown to show progress of it on a regular basis. Please note that the prison will not just be this, alot more is still to be done, which I am working on everyday! EDIT: There's a huge issue altering the team balance!
what does the caulk texture do? ;D
or is it just a placeholder? (im refering to the special textures from source and so)
The caulk is one of the most important textures in the COD4 Radiant. I think from Hammer (source games) it is the equivelant to no_draw. Personally I use caulk when making my map layout, then I texture what the player will see after. What ever the player doesn't see, it need's to be caulked to save map resources. As for example if the underneath of the map has a concrete texture, the player's computer is rendering that even though he isn't seeing it.
No Draw and Caulk has similar effect but they work different.
I'll keep a eye on this.
Isnt caulk more like skip in hammer?
I don't know, i'm just going by what I heard from a person I know that works closely with hammer.
this reminds me of the css mod Prisonbreak I think its called, similar objectives, quite alot of fun, though alot of kids seem to play :(
lol yeah. I played the CSS one, and it is different. The CSS one does stuff like simon says jump etc and if you don't you die and things on those lines.. On this mod it's more balanced etc as the guards don't have fully loaded M4's with lethal bullets.
