The Rohan Spell Book news - Legends of the 3rd Age mod for Battle for Middle-earth

Finally, here's the new Rohan Spell Book. No spell was removed, but there are 3 new powers on the right side. The order and costs of the spells are subject to change, but the spells are final for the next update.

Rohan Spell Book (12 Powers):

1. Draft (1 PP)
- Drafts peasants (unchanged)


2. Bells of Rohan (1 PP)
- Grants +50% Production to selected structure (unchanged)


3. Anduril (2 PP)
- Boosts Aragorn's stats (unchanged)

4. Heal (1 PP)
- Heals units in a fair radius for 100% of their health (unchanged)


5. Summon Dwarves (2 PP)
- Summons 3 battalions of Rangers to the battlefield

Editor's Comment: This one is probably a controversial one. It's mainly there for two reasons: The first reason is because Gimli has always been the only (and lonely) dwarf in Rohan. Legolas could have Elves around him through summon or recruitment. This spell also refers to Gimli saying "I wish I could summon a battalion of Dwarves here. Fully armed and filthy." (not sure if that is the exact quote, I wrote it down from the top of my head). The second reason is that Gimli actually created a small Dwarven Realm in the caves of Helm's Deep after the War of the Ring, and therefore it foreshadows and Alliance between Rohan and the Dwarves of Erebor.


6. Elven Wood (3 PP)
- Grants +50% Armor for units standing on the Elven Wood (unchanged)


7. Summon Elves (3 PP)
- Summons 4 battalions of Dwarves on the battlefield (unchanged)


8. Grand Harvest (4 PP)
- Boosts Rohan Farms' production by 50%

Editor's Comment: I never liked Grand Harvest being available immediately. Might have to get tweaked a bit yet.


9. Cloudbreak (6 PP)
- Sun breaks through Rain or Darkness. Slows enemies and weakens their armor. Stuns enemy units who have no fear resistance.


10. Summon Ents (6 PP)
- Summons 4 ents on the battle field (unchanged)


11. Lady of Light (6 PP)
- Unlocks Galadriel in the Rohan Citadel.

Editor's Comment: Confusing I guess... but there's a new concept in the next update... :)


12. Army of the Dead (10 PP)
- Summons the Army of the Dead on the battlefield (unchanged)
