Blood, released by Monolith in 1998 was one of the most popular games of all time, retaining a cult following even today. Many consider it the finest first person shooter, following the protagonist Calebs attempts to seek retribution against the God Tchernebog. It was created in the Build engine, developed by Ken Silverman. The Build engine was a DOS based 3D engine, which was capable of some very amazing effects and graphics back in its day. With Blood Source, we arere-vamping Blood and transferring it into Valves Source engine. The game and its atmosphere will be preserved, along with its pop reference and cult humor. The source engine will enable us to recreate this wonderful game in stunning high-resolution graphics, fluid physics, and high-quality audio. Most of all.....we will be making it more...Bloody...

Just a small little update regarding the progress of the mod....

Posted by roast on May 27th, 2011

Hi all,

I know, I know.... updates aren't regular enough, but whats to say? Work is still underway on the project.

Not much "visible" progress, but you'll be glad to know that most of the props are now completed, along with texturing. I'm about 50% through the map creation of the first episode.

As promised, I'll be releasing the mod in installments, one episode at a time. Unfortunately, the release of the first episode is still a long way off. Work, college, personal issues and commitments all end up putting time constraints on me. I'm sure you can forgive me in that case.

In other news, the Blood:Source website has been registered. Of course, its still under construction until I can get enough juicy content for it.

As always, If you believe you can help me out, please contact me.

Glad to see it's not dead ! Of course we forgive you for the updates. And you can even wait to release the whole game and not the episodes separately. It's worth the wait after all !

Just keep up the good work ! ;)

A release episode by episode provides a sooner release, a first test for followers so they can report bugs, glitches, crashes to help the devs to avoid them in next episodes... It's a good choice for me.

Why is this being posted on every game in the Half-Life universe? This has nothing to do with Opposing Force, or Deathmatch: Source.

On the other hand, the mod looks really cool, and I'm gonna start tracking.
