Blood and Iron is a modification for Napoleonic wars set mainly between 1870 and 1880. The aim is to give the players a good representation of the era, balanced and fun game-play, immersive maps, and a generally good time. The third update is currently under development, and it will bring you lots of new possibilities and two new factions.

Those helmet tougth.
If any country is going to issue its troops with cone helmets, it's Japan. Does anyone know what those are called?
Well, not sure what the super pointy one is, but the less pointy rounded conical hat as is worn by ashigaru (such as those in the Gekokujo mod) is called a jingasa.

In the factioun announcement trailer you'll see the Japanese fight traditional warriors. Will there be a traditional warrior faction or are they part of the Japanese faction? Would be cool if gatling guns were added at this point!
