I'd like to start this off, by saying that we here at Black Sierra, have some good news, and then we have some great news; the good news is, we've spent the month in dedication towards making an enjoyable gameplay, and we've happen to actually accomplished that rather quickly. Over the month, the team has put effort into a challenging, yet fun enemy, I know there have been times where I've jumped from the sudden appearance of a monster, and we haven't even gotten started on making them terrifying! As for the great news? Well, we've made a nice headway and we've gotten our first gun in-game and functionable, so to speak. Of course there is some tweaking neccessary, but that's an obvious thing that needs to happen. We're feeling great about our progress for the month of January, and we're feeling even better for this month of Febuary.
As for the general progression? There isn't much, because it's actually all going better than we'd plan for being so early in development. Our modeller, Abyx, has textured our 1911 Colt .45, and it looks amazing. He's also managed to put the extra effort into, modeling an UMP .45, it's a sub-machine gun, and a personal favourite of mine. Kyben has lengthened a few of our maps, not to mention they're pretty creepy. I've grown a goatée and worked on animations, our sound engineer who's name is too long to remember off by heart so I'll call him by his real name (Mark) has been working hard on our sounds and, I can't help but feel a small tingle every time I shoot the Remington Shotgun in game, the sound makes it fun to waste off rounds in the middle of the night. And last, but not least, we've had a small interview with Pariahs-Guild, we like to thank them for taking the time to write to us, and interview us. We had a blast doing so, you may read it here.
Now, I'll stop with the boring talk, and just show you what's been going on. First, our weaponary. Left - UMP .45, right - Colt .45 w/ Texture
Now, we have some thing big for you guys here. INGAME SCREENS! (Please keep in mind, they're early screens) the left image was brightened in Photoshop by the way, (so excuse the ugly gray look) and the right is to show the gun off ingame better.
Impressive, will the weapons feature selectabel customisations or will they be automaticly selected?
They're already configured on the gun by default, which means what you see is what you get.
Aight ^^ Thanks for the info
Looking good!
