The sapper's best friend, the R9D Carbine is
a semi-automatic weapon whose basic design dates
back to the Second Great War. The R9D is a
portable, lightwieght weapon, robust and
functional, that was first used as a paratrooper
weapon. Another in Orange Star's unique
innovations in munitions, the flash rounds
designed for the R9 are tipped with a small
chemical charge that flash-ignites on impact,
illuminating the area of impact without tell-tale
tracers to give away the firer's position. Of
course, the blinding flash helps too.
