Back2Fronts is an extensive mod that will overhaul your Call of Duty 2 game to a next level. This mod brings more variety, intensity, realism and battle-like experience. Try new weapons, fight new enemies, fulfil new missions and explore new options. Mod is SP and MP friendly (although primary part is SP).
The weapon select menu in Back2Fronts enables player to select the gear before the mission. The weapons are carried over into next mission (if it has some connection with the previous one).
Do you have a sound mod for the germans installed?
I have the german version of the game and the germans are not "screaming" so much.
No the german voices in the english version are different. No idea why they did this, but i like the german voices of the german version more :)
(This could be a chance to give them more diversity)
in polish version it is just like there, didn't know Germans had other version. maybe english version contains some nazi references that are banned in Germany? I remember in MoHAA it was the same, in all versions the game had flags and coats of arms with swastikas etc but in german version it was removed.
germany has its own language voiceover. And yes the voices from non-german cod2s are more aggressive.
I might make the "non-german" and "german" language packs so everyone can choose :)
oh and btw the B2F has improved pain/death sound system. Now there are tons of combinations (especially for germans) that prevents repetition.

also there are 5 random choke sounds for all factions

not without rescripting the battlechatter system.

This is just GREAT! However I have some questions:
1. is it possible to make some loadouts 'researchable'? I mean, during your playthrough you 'unlock' better weaponry, starting with let's say K98k, in next mission you can get G41/43, then MP38/40, then MG34 up to StG44 or FG-42. This would force players to play with less popular weaponry.
2. Pistols. Is their setup fixed? I mean, there are only M1911/HP/TT33/P38 or you can choose other sidearms like M1917 and Luger?
3. The Gebalteladung. I think it has a bit too high power, I mean the guy was like 3-4m from it and he went up in the air. He would die from fragments for sure, but not get blown up. Hope it will be toned down a bit.
4. Not a question, but a statement - the Red Square mission will be EPIC!
1. I must admit that it is a nice idea but it is far away from my skills. I can't speak for WCP, he might be able to do it but for the price of having really overcomplicated scripts that could possibly lag the game (that is not joke, I experienced that during making of the B2F).
2. you can select 2 sets of pistols and 2 sets of antitank equipment as secondary weapon. So yes M1917 and Luger are possible to select. But please note that not all the guns are selectable. Some special ones can be obtained only from the AI or map.
3. gebalteladung, satchel and gammon-bomb have the highest damage and radius of all grenades because they are nothing else than lots and lots of explosives togather.
4. it is indeed. with all the changes in the map that I made it became one of the most fun maps to play. I will upload a gameplay vid for this map when I return from vacation on this Sunday.
Thank you for replies. Yes, I know realising the first idea might be complicated, so I don't know if it's even possible. You already did hell of a job with current weapon selecting.

so far 1 primary, 1 secondary and 1 set of grenades are unavailable. I might remove the particular grenade set from the menu to prevent confussion.
Could you add a kill counter that shows the casualties on both sides at the end of the mission?
