Back2Fronts is an extensive mod that will overhaul your Call of Duty 2 game to a next level. This mod brings more variety, intensity, realism and battle-like experience. Try new weapons, fight new enemies, fulfil new missions and explore new options. Mod is SP and MP friendly (although primary part is SP).
This video shows a gameplay of a custom CoD2 SP map called Red Square Massacre that is present in Back2Fronts mod. The mod contains a heavily moddified version of the map (original version of the map was made by taintxs). The changes include:
- map integration into Back2Fronts.
- firemode and sprint available.
- weapon selection at map-start available.
- map included in mission/level select menu.
- map is played for German side.
- random AI system supported.
- Soviet AI with anti-tank rifles deployed.
- AI accuracy and health set to standard CoD2 level.
- SFX optimalization.
- sound from Back2Fronts.
- custom crates were added.
- destroyed T34 tanks were added.
- Stalin and Lenin statues on the square.
- addition of Soviet T34 tanks instead of the Shermans.
- anti-tank rifle pickups available in the map.
- weapon pickups reworked (different weapons on different places).
- increased number of grenade pickups (Molotov, F1, RGD33, RGD1, Nebelhandgranate, Stielhandgranate, Gebalteladung)
- FlaK cannons on Soviet frontline replaced with QF6 (temporary solution).
- American troops replaced with NKVD elite units.
- American flags replaced with Soviet banners.
- German names changed to standard CoD2 format rank + surname.
- correction of the turret error - machine guns are fully useable.
- machine guns on the Soviet frontline replaced with DP28 and Maxims. Maxim can be seen in 2 versions - with the wheel carriage or without it.
- 4 German plane models (FW-200 Condor, Ju-87 Stuka, Bf-109 and He-111)

I notice that Mosin Nagant still using the old reload animation, will you make a new version of it? Cause it looks like the player insert a invisible clip inside the chamber...
remember that making an animation for one weapon takes from 3 to 7 days depending on the complexity of the animation.

Seriously, In the Original one, The Russians are super accurate and deal tons of Damage, not to mention they also have lots of health! Made me Stop after 8 tries. :(
this video is from gameplay on "normal" difficulty. It will be greater challenge on "hardened" or even "veteran" :-)
