Correcting myself here:
I was using QZdoom because it was the only modern Doom port that allowed me to play on my old 2008 GPU that only has OpenGL 2.0 and 3.0
There is LZdoom too, but I just learned about it later.
Try to find versions from 2017 or earlier to ensure the game will have the classic graphics preserved (bright, colorful, vibrant, etc)
Try to avoid OpenGL as much as you can, unless strictly necessary for some more "modern" maps.
For "classic" maps like these over here, use Software Renderer (Video options, restart to apply)

I keep forgetting that Zdoom ports can load ZIP files, so you can load multiple files at once that way, with drag and drop.

And yes, do I think it's UTTER GARBAGE for us having to manually type command-line commands in 2021? Yes, for sure.

When you look at MSDOS from the 90's, they had menus.
GZDoom can't make a simple menu?? I call you crazy.

That's why I like using Doom Legacy (2002-2004) and Prboom (2008-2016), these have a convenient menu for you to load maps with the mouse.

There's no ******* need for anyone to be manually typing command lines in this day and age.

I mean it really ain't that hard. Just have your command lines already ready on a batch file then copy that file and write in your mods and wads into the copy.

Are there any archives for earlier versions 1.00 of this WAD?
I would love to try out the original maps before any "feedback" alterations. (which usually suck)

If anything, I had an earlier version of the file where the untouched original map19 (Bingo Hall Pools of Blood) did not have a rocket launcher at the starting area. When I changed computers and updated the file, the map was already different (much easier to complete therefore not the same experience)
