Axanar: Strategic Operations is a mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that totally converts it to the universe of the recent fan movie Axanar, based on star trek.
Great! I hoped as much to see this ship in the game (would be a shame to not include it^^) and there it is.^^
But we (or at least me) know so less about that class. How big/long was it and will it be in the game a capital ship or only a cruiser? What is the name of the class, Kelvin like the ship itself? Would be nice to know this.
JJ Trek ships were waaaay out of proportion compared to their original specifications. The movie Kelvin allegedly had a crew of over 800, twice the complement of a TOS Constitution. JJ's Enterprise was immense.
Axanar has done a great job of taking the admittedly interesting JJ designs and reverting them to more traditional Star Trek specs and appearances.
I am glad you are not doing that. I think the fact it was so huge with way too big of a crew always made me dislike it. Maybe I can learn to love the Kelvin.
"ARE OUR SHIELDS EVEN UP???"
Ahh, the USS Kelvin's class. I rather liked that ship design for some reason.
yup its definitely a beautiful ship!!
I love this ship! Can't wait to play with it.
Now the only thing you need is the Narada as random event.
"All Narada attacks now come with ONE speared Captain FREEEEE!
Is it going to have the same pulse phasers/beam phasers combo as in teh movie, or will this (presumably) earlier version lack them?
Federation ships will have pulse phasers in addition to regular phasers, as seen in Prelude to Axanar. :)
Woohoo! Eyegasm incoming!

Cruiser.
Also due to the lack of a better name we're sticking with Kelvin-class for now.
it is actualy called the Einstein class
That is a question. Is that ship going to be movie size? I know they had it nearly the size of a Galaxy class then a little smaller. Which size?

Will she also has red thin phaser beams in addition to the CWIS systems ?
Blue phasers, courtesy of the Andorians, for balanced damage.
Blue particle cannons, essentially early pulse phasers for overwhelming enemy shields.
Red photon torpedoes, for smashing enemy hulls.
