When Apocalypse Weekend was released as the add-on for Postal 2, it added the new Boomerang Machete, Sledgehammer, and Scythe. Unfortunately, the major complaint about AW was that the "free-roam" element from Postal 2 was gone. Not only could you not roam freely in AW, but you couldn't take these new weapons back to the original Postal 2 levels, either. AWP changes all that. AWP is an enhanced version of the original Postal 2 game and combines it with the AW expansion pack weapons and levels, plus tons of extra bonuses to make the ultimate Postal 2 experience. AWP adds tons of new features to the normal Postal 2 and AW games: Use AW's weapons and gameplay in the original Postal 2 levels New custom weapons, plus weapons from the hit mods Eternal Damnation and Improved "behind the scenes" game handling to (hopefully) reduce crashes Brand-new cheats, such as unlimited dog helpers and police-hating bystanders Destroyable doors for quick shortcuts More blood, guts,...

Postal 2.. What can be said about it? It's that game that doesn't care if you are offended by Political Uncorrectness, Racism, or anything else, The In-Your-Face game that was controversial for many years..

Apocalypse Weekend was an OK expansion pack for this funny game, But it felt like it was missing key elements that Postal 2 and Share The Pain had:Level transitions, and Free roam.

A Week In Paradise changes all this:Not only do you get to use the three new weapons introduced in Apocalypse Weekend but this mod also gives you other new weapons and Unique weapons from M@d J@ckel and the Postal 2 AW mod Eternal Damnation.

The big changes are the addition of New items, Bystander models, A school level, and several playable "Minigames"

While Postal 2 AWP has some problems with crashing (due to the amount of gore being over the limit in the engine) The mod throws away the bad parts of Apocalypse Weekend.. And gives you a mod to go postal with.

It combines the awesomeness of POSTAL 2, while having the more gore of Apocalypse Weekend. Something like that, just cannot be denied to be awesome.

Feels like once you play this, you can't play Postal 2 ANY other way. The gore is amped up, the gibs are more detailed, bodies are completely destructible and can be dismembered in many different ways (even intestines spill out) and newer weapons to play with. There are newer and more diverse models for the pedestrians with higher detail, new animations, and they even wear accessories (hats, glasses, purses, ect) Also there are more side quests hidden throughout the game giving the player even more incentive to explore the town of Paradise (like they really need it)
