Awesome to see it from the Necron perspective. Couple of questions:

Are Arma 2 muzzleflashes in first person different then the 2nd/3rd person muzzle flashes? I know some games use completely different resources depending on whether you're looking in first person or viewing someone else doing something. If so, I think the muzzle flash for the Necrons in first person in this video is good to go. However, I think it would be both fluffy and good gameplay wise if the Gauss Flayers had brighter than usual muzzle flashes for the people being shot at.

Also, do y'all have a plan yet as to how you're going to decide which subfaction gets to represent each army? I saw those Ghosts for the IG (which I'm super excited about) and the general Cadian theme for the rest of the IG (vehicles, etc.) and the various Eldar Craftworld Guardians, but how are you going to decide the other armies?

I'll answer regarding muzzle flashes. Panzer or LFH can field the other part of the question.

In Arma 2 weapons use what are called proxies, for muzzle flash. Which are basically placeholders that point to another model. So they could be made different for each VIEW section.

But given the way it works, I think limiting it to one type would be more efficient. It's been a while since I experimented with it. I'll update this reply if I find anything new.

For each faction that I make, I intend to have 4 or 5 major sub factions, and then maybe a few minor/original ones for player clans/units or campaigns we make.

If the sub factions main difference is just colors, it's just a matter of time. If the sub faction is different from another by quite some margin (Dark angels and space wolves) new assets have to be made, which takes a little bit more time.

In fact, for subfactions like the dark angels, I may give them their own subfactions in the form of their companies and successor chapters.

At least, that's my take on the matter :)

Here is that same battle from the last video, but from the Necron perspective, I hope you get a good glimpse at what the animations and gameplay looks like.
Please note, I only have so many custom animations, and the Necrons can sometimes be seen doing default Arma man animations.
Feedback and constructive criticism is quite appreciated.

Everything seen and shown is a work in progress and NOT final.
