Scott, Matt, Chris and Kelly are four normal high school students. A mysterious murder house lies north of the school. The history of the house makes the students curious to explore what happened. Why did a family suddenly end up dead? why was there no evidence or clues? Could it have been some kind of ghost? Shadows is an indie first person survival horror game based on the Unreal 4 Engine.

Hello Everyone,

Do not let the title fool you, we will be moving to a brand new shiny ModDB page in about 2 weeks. Before we go through with this, we need you... To help. We have created what we would like to think to be the final Straw Poll that we will ever post on any page to do with this games development.

We want you to decide if we should use the Unreal 3 or Unreal 4 Engine, and if we should release the game on Steams Greenlight. The game will be still be released as a whole game and not in "Early Access". On that note we do need funding for the development of the game.

Now we know that asking for thousands of dollars to develop an indie game is a bit of a rip off, that's why we are only asking for $250. Yes we do know that it is still a lot of money for the development of a game such as shadows but this is to pay for the subscription to the Unreal 4 engine, to get the game done. You do have the choice to say No and I will paste the Q&A that I had posted before below.

How Much Do I HAVE To Donate?
Donation is voluntary but if you do feel like donating towards the Greenlight Release $1 and up will do!

What is the difference between Unreal 3 and Unreal 4?
Unreal 4 is much easier for us to use and will result in a higher quality finalized product for you.

Will The Game Now Cost?
With The release of Steam Greenlight we are hoping to offer it to you for $5, this is to pay everyone who worked on the game. We can not be 100% sure of these prices as of yet as we are to early on in development to finalize.

Will there be Rewards?
We think that no donations should go unnoticed and so we will be offering rewards to everyone.

Thank you all for your support throughout these times and we apologize to everyone for the delays.

Sorry about all the polls, I just need to make sure that we are 100% set before I get back to my office on Saturday. This will be the final poll.

Some Questions I can answer for you

As it is only me working on this game for now and as I am currently on Holiday, I have decided that I will be moving it over to Unreal 3. It will still have the exact same feel as it did on the Source engine.

I know this makes the past 3 news updates as well as the vote useless and for that I am deeply sorry. I just don't have the time to configure Source 2013.

I am not posting this as a news update as I may not have any access to the internet for a week or so and I would like you all to see this.

I will be returning to work on the game in 3 weeks. The plan is not to recycle the Oni story but to expand upon it. Adding a background to the characters and more areas to the game.

Before you ask, yes it will still be 100% free forever.

If you have any questions I would be more than happy to answer them. You are more than welcome to post them here and I will answer them one at a time, or you can private message them to me.

Thank you all for your time, I appologise for all of the delays and I hope to get the game to you before mid 2015.

What do you mean? We are not 100% sure if we will be moving over to the Unreal engine. If we do hopefully it will be free. I know the main game will be free and working with the Unreal Engine will make the puzzles easier to create compared to the Source engine.

Yes, the game is still going to be based on the original RPG Maker game Ao Oni. We had changed the name around 4 months ago aswell.
