Scott, Matt, Chris and Kelly are four normal highschool students. A mysterious murder house lies north of the school. The history of the house makes the students curious to explore what happened. Why did a family suddenly end up dead? why was there no evidence or clues? Could it have been some kind of ghost?

Hello,
We have had some issues over the past year with the name Dark Descent Studios and Ao Oni Source. Therefore we decided to sit down and have a long discussion about the name of the company and the name.
We have decided upon Chimera Interactive as the company name. This was chosen after the Greek Mythological beast of the same name. We have renamed Ao Oni - Source to Shadows. This decision was made due to the lack of originality within the name Ao Oni Source.
Rehash
We originally received emails and comments pointing out that making a game 3D will not make it fun or original at all. We have been going over the storyline for the past 6 months and creating a new one.
Things you can expect
- New characters and Dialogue
- Newer Storyline
- Cooperative Cop mode
- New Textures and Models
- Scarier, Darker Experience

ao oni means blue demon in korean, so its a korean horror game
Well, Oni is a Japanese word too, by my knowledge.

Ao Oni (Blue Demon) was originally an RPGMaker game based on 4 Japanese children surviving a large blue deformed demon.
As the main character Hiroshi you had to collect objects and complete puzzles to continue in your struggle to find your friends. Every time you would find or complete something the Oni would chase you.
You're remaking Ao Oni on the Source engine?! You're gonna kill me lol. Loved the game, but it was so damn scary...

We are creating a whole new storyline, new characters and the same house.
We talked about this in the early stages of Shadows when it was known as Ao Oni Half-Life 2. We believe that it would be a pointless waste of thime at the moment. Maybe in the future.
