Darkness is a Custom Story where you play as a servant of Alexander. The map will be the same as the main story but this time you will enter in some locked/different areas. Enjoy!

The only thing I don't like from this cs was you almost copied the maps from the original game and make them in random order. However, you made your own story for this at least.

We are waiting to see your remake on this cs. Then, I update this review.

Not a bad attempt (i really liked the rainy hall for example, and how it all started) but it doesn't add that many new things to worth revisiting the original maps with most of the story and events removed. There was no logic in the order of levels whatsoever, also illogical world building - lit windows sometimes led to brick walls on the other side - and its timeline was confusing, how some structures looked prior to TDD and some looked like Daniel was already there. There was barely anything interseting to find other than a shitload of tinderboxes and some oil, in pretty generic new rooms. If this gets remastered as the author currently promises, i'd be back and give it another go since it's an interesting idea, just the execution is forgettable right now.

I think this is pretty good attempt how to continue in the main story.

It's a good custom story based on the main campaign of Dark Descent and takes place at the same time as the story of Daniel (the main character of the main campaign).
Here are the positives and negatives.

Good:
- New parts in some of the locations in Brennenburg Castle.
- New unique rooms
- Same atmosphere as in the main campaign

Bad:
- Some inconsistencies (ex: In the Entrance hall, the door to the back hall does not exist).
- This custom story takes place after some of the events in the main campaign (Why do you ask? Because our protagonist "Jonathan" started in the Wine Cellar and since Daniel was already there before (even though it's not canon), it would have been more logical to start this custom story before the main campaign).

--------
Being a big fan of the main story and Brennenburg Castle, I enjoyed revisiting this castle and discovering the new rooms.

The mod was very unpolished and confusing. Story made basically no sense, somewhere it was taken place before TDD and somewhere it was taken place after TDD. It also doesn't make sense on how I got to like Back Hall from Entrance Hall, and basically all level translations.

5/10 - And that's only because my standards are very low for ratings on ModDB...
