Description:

This version of AIEV aims to greatly improve the bots, aswell as to make the game feel more polished. It also aims to make the
game more realistic and challenging for single player and COOP. This version gives the bots a massive amplification of their abilities, making them
more psychotic yet intelligent on the field of battle. And of course, modifications have been made to other things in the game. Hopefully, this final version will
keep everyone happy. I've had fun making it and testing, and I hope you have fun playing it. Prepare for war.

- THIS IS STRICTLY A SINGLE PLAYER MOD ONLY. ANY ATTEMPT TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER WITH THIS MOD ACTIVE
WILL PROBABLY RESULT IN SOME WIERD EVENTS. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER AND THIS SINGLE PLAYER MOD,
THEN YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO SWITCH THE FILES AROUND AT YOUR LEISURE. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY A COOP GAME
WITH SOME MATES, MAKE SURE THAT THEY TOO HAVE THIS MOD. OTHERWISE, THIS IS RESTRICTED TO SINGLE PLAYER AND
SOLO COOP PLAY. AND YES, I HAVE CAPS LOCK ON ON PURPOSE.

PLEASE TEMPORARILY REMOVE THEM AND PLACE THIS MOD INTO ITS RESPECTIVE DIRECTORIES.

----------------INSTALLATION------------
****************************************

*BE SURE TO BACKUP ALL FILES FIRST*

(STANDARD INSTALLATION - ONLY STOCK MAPS PLAYABLE)
1. Extract the "aiev_1_2.zip file somewhere.
2. Copy the "AIEV" folder into your %:\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods directory.
3. Fire the mod up through the custom menu and play!

(ALTERNATE INSTALLATION - ALL MAPS PLAYABLE)
1. Extract the aiev_1_2.zip file somewhere.
2. Copy the "objects.rfa" and "animations.rfa" into your %:\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BfVietnam\Archives directory, overwriting the existing files.
3. Copy the "game.rfa" into your %:\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BfVietnam\Archives\BfVietnam directory, overwriting the existing file.
4. Copy the "LexiconALL.dat" into your %:\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BfVietnam directory, overwriting the existing files.
5. Start up BFV and play!
(Remember, alternate installation grants you the ability to play ALL maps that you have at the loss of playing other mods)

Known Issues/Bugs:
- When bots fly the OH-6, instead of going from A to B like normal, they will rise up into the stratosphere and move very slowly. When they see an enemy, they'll usually speed up to engage.
- Players or bots are unable to reload in the new BTR-6O passenger positions. I'm not sure how to fix this.
- To get music on the loading screens, simply copy all the files (except "menumusic.bik") from %:\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BfVietnam\Music into the %:\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\AIEV\Music.
- Bots don't play very well on urban maps. This is not the mod's fault, rather the heavily flawed pathfinding system that the bots use. Unfortuanately, this is beyond my control. Bots of course play much, much better on open maps.

Please refrain from editing my files and going and throwing them into a mod of your own, then pass them off as your own
creation. I put my bloody heart and soul into this so I deserve some respect at least!!
If you find that there is something that you are just ITCHING to change, then send me an e-mail
letting me know what you wanna change and I'll give you your answer.

~AI~
- Decreased the maximum range at which bots can attack targets when manning the ZSU cannon.
- Finetuned numerous hand weapon properties for bot use.
- Fixed a small bug where bots preferred to sit in the passenger position of certain vehicles isntead of the pilot/driver position. This may still be prevalent though.
- Fixed a problem where the bots were too inaccurate with LAWs and RPGs.
- Bot snipers will now engage enemy infantry targets from even greater distances.
- Bots will fire the bombs from the Mi8 and will also call for artillery against armoured targets.
- Bots will fire the smoke grenades from mounted tank machineguns.
- Further improved bot air-to-air effectiveness.
- Further improved bot air-to-ground and ground-to-air effectiveness.
- Further improved bot infantry and ground-based vehicle effectiveness.
- Improved bot mortar usage.

~OTHER~
- Corrected tracer position for all hand weapons.
- Pistols now have tracers.
- Tweaked some hand weapon bullet deviations.
- Recoil readjusted for all hand weapons.
- Slowed down the rate of fire for tank cannons.
- Increased the distance that gunshots can be heard.
- Increased the splash damage of the mortar shell.
- Increased the damage of aircraft bullets verses infantry.
- Tracers are now more visible.
- Changed the velocity of all hand weapon projectiles.
- Added additional smoke effects to the LAW, RPGs and SA-7 when they are fired.
- Reduced Quad 50 health from 65 to 55.
- Reduced MiG-17 and Corsair magazine count to 6 from 15.
- Reduced PT-76 health from 145 to 130.
- Reduced T-54 health from 160 to 150.
- Increased Tango health from 475 to 500.
- The Tango and PBR can no longer be picked up by Helicopter winches.
- Increased the size of the blood effect when soldiers get shot.
- All tank mounted machineguns are now able to deploy defensive smoke grenades.
- The Vespa passenger has been rotated around, so now he fires over the shoulder of the driver.
- MiG-17, Corsair and AC-47 bombs now have an extra loose-dirt explosion, which is utterly huge.
- The Mi8 Co-pilot can now carpet a large area with bombs that are fired from the helicopter. He is also able to spot for artillery and mortars.
- Increased the rate of fire for the MUTT rocket slightly.
- Increased MUTT rocket count from 6 to 8.
- Brought the Detonator back for Claymores.
- Corrected dropped kit meshes.
- Removed the Plantation Knives from NVA kits and replaced them with Machetes.
- Some Viet Cong kits get the Knife as a melee weapon.
- M-19 renamed to Magnum.
- Renamed the NVA mortar to "Type 56 Mortar" and the US mortar to "M1 Mortar".
- The Corsair now drops four bombs instead of two.
- Added an extra magazine to the Type-53.
- The KA25 co-pilot can now fire the missiles in sequence rather than two at a time.
- Tweaked some heat-seeking missiles for certain vehicles.
- Increased the time to live for most projectiles.
- All faction kits have been reworked greatly.
- Crosshairs readjusted.
- Some fixed machineguns won't overheat as quickly when fired on full automatic.

yo, i know im about a handfull of years late to this, but you sir are a legend for making this mod for Vietnam and 1942, now the ai is actually fun to play against and thats all i ever wanted out of these games.
