In 0.5 the SSDs 'Dominion' and 'Megador' are represented as Executors. In the next release, 1.0, the 'Dominion' will be a Bellator-class, and the 'Megador' will be a Mandator III-class.

Noice! Although I'll be honest I'm not really a fan of the textures on those models.

I'm glad someone else had the idea of using the model for Implacable SSD as the Mandator III.

It looks like a ‘cousin’ of the Bellator so a good fit

Question: since the first two Bellators are from Clone Wars, can't the Rebellion "steal and use" them? Because the Bellator at the end, was the definitive Battlecruiser that Empire used along with the Mandotor III

There is no Rebellion in this era. But it’s successor(s), the New Republic and the Galactic Alliance can build Mandator IIs. They can’t build Mandator Is because the design is so old, why would they? (Whereas the CSA would because their fleet incorporates a lot of naval surplus). And they can’t build the Bellator or the Mandator III because they are both Imperial designs. The Mandator II is part of the Kuat subfaction.

This individual ship is planned to make an appearance - but Bellators won't be buildable for the New Republic.

Description

1.0 will include several new Battlecruiser and Star Dreadnought designs.

MANDATOR I - a very old battlecruiser built by Kuat decades before the Clone War. These ships can barely compete with modern Star Destroyers, much less modern battlecruisers. But they can soak up a lot of damage. I have yet to decide what role it will play in the mod, but it may serve as a Peace Brigade one-off special unit, and a buildable ship for the CSA if they capture Kuat. (They have a penchant for old battlecruisers).

MANDATOR II - a Clone Wars-era vessel that served in the Republic Navy. It was superseded by more modern, and deadly, Imperial designs. It is a Kuat-native built ship, accessible by the New Republic/Galactic Alliance. If the Corporate Sector ever advance as far as Kuat, they can build Mandator IIs as well.

BELLATOR - an offshoot of the Mandator line. It is much more advanced than the Mandator II, but smaller, and with fewer armaments. The Bellator is conceived of as a sort-of fast attack dreadnought. It carries a reasonable starfighter compliment as well.

MANDATOR III - the largest ship in this lineup, it is a full third larger than the Mandator II. The Mandator III is a 12,000 km long gun platform. But it carries no starfighters, and is relatively slow, only marginally faster than the Executor. The Imperial Remnant can build Mandator IIIs from Kuat.

*FULL CREDIT* to the Alliance mod for these models and textures.
