Hello everyone!
Well, it's been a pretty crazy year. I'd love to try and explain to you why this mod didn't quite kick off properly - but I couldn't. I think due to the fact I could only communicate with the team through means of MSN and Steam, everyone literally disappeared off the face of the earth and I haven't seen any of them online for the whole year.
Why? Maybe afraid of the work loads, commitments, have too much on their plate - whatever, I'm not really bothered about that anymore.
Now, I've been meaning to come back to Acropolis for a long time. Us as a team spent hours and hours on this mod - thinking on the ins and outs of how we wanted the gameplay to work, graphics, maps - everything we had down to a fine T - and boy do I mean everything!
After a year off I feel now is the best time to come back to Acropolis; I've learnt from past errors, I've learnt new skills, and I'll be able to spend longer on this project than I could have before.
I guess the bad news is at the moment the team just consists of me! None of the old team we had, (11 people in all) have been online in 6+ months, so God knows where they've gone, but I guess I don't have time for them anymore - this mod is a passion of mine, and if I want it to work, we need a new team. Basically, I'm looking for every position, this means.
I can cover music, voice acting and SOME 2d texture art, but we will need -
- Coders
- Mappers
- Modelers
- Texture Artists/Skinners
- Project Lead Assistant
- Sound Artist
So, if you feel as if you can fill any of these spots, please either leave a comment on our profile, message me here on Moddb or e-mail me at seanhoughton2@gmail.com with position you'd like to fill, basic details, (i.e. name, country, age etc.) and any past work. (If applicable.)
Whether you're a modding novice or an experienced veteran, at the moment I will happily take on anyone who shows devotion, a creative mind and the ability to work as a real team player.
We have some material that could be of use, however I'd prefer to start this mod fresh and new when it comes to content - however we will DEFINATLEY be working to the original design document.
So, I guess it begins here - Acropolis is officially alive again!
