All good things come to an end, and today marks the end of the SlipStream Productions Media Blitz. What's that mean? You won't see an update every day from the mods, but you will get an update from all mods over the rest of today, so, pay them a visit!

After a few weeks of updates all about the ground forces, we have finally returned to the air! With this, a small explanation is in order. All aircraft in the mod will be capable of being equipped with a secondary weapon. Each aircraft has different options for its secondary weapon, some more than others. The first two aircraft we showed you (the F-4 Phantom and MiG-21) also have secondary weapons, which we will show you sometime soon. And now, without any further delays, here are the goodies!

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a highly versatile aircraft. The mainstay of the ISAF air forces, this aircraft can be outfitted to serve a variety of roles. As seen in the renders below, it can be outfitted with either 4 MK82 medium unguided bombs or 2 long range anti-radiation missiles (used for homing in on large radar signatures, such as SAM sites). As with any other ISAF aircraft, it also has 2 AIM-9 sidewinder missiles for air defense. The F-16s advanced avionics systems make it suitable for any mission, which is exactly what the ISAF needs.

These F-16's are from Allenfort airbase on Newfield island. Scrambled because of the threat of incoming forces, they can be seen flying over the ruins of the city struck by a segment of the Ullyses asteroid.

The EF-2000 Eurofighter Typhoon is a small and nimble air defense craft. It comes armed with the standard Erusian AA-2 Atoll missiles, but can also be armed with 4 medium range Mica missiles. Though these missiles lack the range and effectiveness of ISAF AIM-120 AMRAAMs or the Erusian AA-10 Alamo, they still deliver quite a punch to an unwitting aerial foe.

Several EF-2000s have been flying in and out of Newfield Islands airspace lately, with their intentions unknown, all bases and local groups, including the Mobius squadron have been set on high alert. Several pictures can be seen here of the EFs at the southern tip of Newfield Island

Thatks a ton to Freedom for the Newfield Island map. Without it, this update wouldn't be nearly as awesome.

Stay tuned, folks!
