Absolute Battlefront: Galactic Conquest aims to be the most complete Galactic Conquest mod ever created for Star Wars Battlefront II. The usual issues regularly seen in GC mods such as the Yavin model blocking the camera zoom, planet models not spinning and fleet ship models not appearing over the mod planets have been fixed. Additional features include custom planet models, multiple GCs being selectable in the menu, custom heroes, custom loadscreens, and covers a range of eras and maps created by the modding community. Previously called Absolute War.

I'm very pleased to announce the second release of the "Absolute Battlefront Presents..." series. This time, it's for the truly legendary mod, The Dark Times (specifically 'Dark Times II: Rising Son').

A few highlights of this conquest:
- All vanilla maps and standard Dark Times maps will be playable in the standard mode*
- A large number (TBC) of maps the support The Dark Times era will be playable as optional maps, in the same way you can play my 'Choose Your Own' Galactic Conquest
- For the first time, I'm looking properly at space maps. All planets will have a custom sky, meaning no more boring black backgrounds if you play a space map over a custom planet
- Also for the first time, you will be able to start on any planet, and ALL planets will have a randomised starting team

*I will be supporting the Dark Space mod in this Galactic Conquest. However, as there are so many maps in this back, it has been set up so that if you play with this mod as well, then the vanilla maps will not appear.

I'm about 90% complete with this mod, my main area of focus at the moment is putting the planets in the sky for the space maps. I fully intend to have this mod released by the end of 2021.

Finally, I have really enjoyed working on my custom galactic conquests mods this year. I've long felt it was an area of the game overlooked by the modding community, and I'm pleased to have been able to make such successful leaps forward in this game mode.

If you have enjoyed playing any of my mods this year, I would greatly appreciate your vote in the 2021 mod of the year award. You can vote for the mod in the banner above. There is also no limit to how many mods you can vote for in this first round.
