A historical time line extender mod and game expansion. This game extends the timeline from the original 1936 start date back to 1900 and plans on extending the time end date (the date when all possible research is done) to 2016. This mod plans to add some new features such as the creation of demilitarized zones, money/currency (reparations), and more espionage options. More individualized national focuses will be added along with more start dates such as a 1900 start date, World War I, WWI peace conference, Finnish Civil War, White and Red October, Chinese Revolution of 1911, and more!

GUYS!! I SOLVED IT.
You have to install stellaris mod installer (it works with HOI4, just ignore the title) and this is how you use it:
1) put StellarisModInstaller.exe on \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod
2) put modname.zip inside \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod
3) drag an drop modname.zip on StellarisModInstaller.exe
4) start game, and select the new mod from launcher.
on first launch, StellarisModInstaller create a config.ini.
if you need you can force the supported_version line with any other value (default force 1.0.*).
if you want to use the mod in folder mode (modnameFolder+modname.mod) modify extract=true (default false)
