Your eyes slowly adjust to the gloom but immediately start to sting. Dust and plaster has fallen down from the ceiling, and you taste it in your dry mouth. Slowly the ceiling lights flicker on as the emergency generator starts up, and people begin to pick themselves up... ...Its August 9th. You've just survived the biggest killer of man in history. In 30 minutes, 3.6 billion people have died across the globe. Unknown to you, the population of the UK has quartered, and will continue to drop. You think briefly of your family before being dragged onto your feet by your platoon sergeant... "Come on son, there's work to be done!" Comes the gruff voice from the dark... but not yet... for now we wait... in the dark...

Think Lewis and Vickers guns during the First World War
no, WW2
Brits used this during the cold war? I understand early cold war but we are talking about 70's right?
The Bren saw service in the UK until 1991 as in its L4 variant.
Nice !!
The greatest Light Machine Gun ever made in history. I got to try one of these outs with a war museum owner who is also a staff member in the AAFC. Was one of the greatest feelings I've ever had when it came to shooting, was to fire a few bursts with one of these.
I assume the one in game is the L4 and is firing 7.62x51mm NATO with the 30 round magazine? And it will see small time usage with home defense units and possibly some light use with patrols in North Ireland?
Anyways, Model seems good, just the texture seems new. Given the age of Bren Guns, I assume this gun wouldn't be brand new and off the shelves. It would've seen loads of use, many rounds fired down the barrel and the poor thing would've taken heaps of abuse throughout it's service. It needs to look really worn out, wear and tear, scratches, possibly rusty and maybe even some dents and such in the buttstock or receiver. Make it look like it's seen some real abuse.
