I believe there will be only one type of shot. The mechanics used in the cannon is by no means similar to the mechanics in Napoleonic Wars. In L'Aigle, the cannon is scripted to make it look like it is firing, while in fact a random area is chosen around the enemy and damage is inflicted.

In other words, the shot does not fly from the cannon to the target. Instead, a random explosion occurs on the battlefield as if it was fired from the cannon.

Then L'Aigle is not the mod you are looking for.

Modding is big business, it is hard to predict an accurate release date. You will never know when you will stumble upon mind-shattering problems that could take months to resolve. If he leaves you another release date, say, by the end of this year, you will all be complaining even more if he didn't manage to complete it. It will be released when it is done. Giving a release date won't get it released faster.

5 years for an impressive mod is well worth the time, and take note that he is not just a modeller, but he is doing everything himself, not just models or textures.

Rifling does indeed increase accuracy, however, the ammunition used in the Napoleonic Wars were round balls of lead. These balls do not have the best of aerodynamics, and thus an extremely accurate level is still not possible. Rifles only start to get more accurate after the invention of the Minie ball.

In this old version it is Calradia. Currently the devs are making a new Beta that will include an European map, and it is expected to be released by midyear if nothing goes wrong.

Actually, he has the rights not to even publish the mod at all, this way he wouldn't even need to be criticised for making a mod for the community. He made this mod as a hobby, he did not promise to make you this, nor did you hire him, he releases this whenever he feels he has finished.

Those who have black screen after character creation, DO NOT CHOOSE "My father was a noble". Other than that it will work well.
