Thanks a lot for support, buddy =)
I was surprised about how many ppl actually are waiting for this mod)
Project is under construction.
In some bad reasons i was forced to restart whole works cause progress was thrown back - i was totally disappointed because i lost nearly 100% of model data related to this stuff, hard drive at my work PC was damaged, i spent hours picking out bits of information but not reached any acceptable results.
And another reason - second modeller i collaborated with, leaved the developments. So, yup...i'm again working alone.
Thats how things are going guys.
Things, related to how will stuff act in game will not be changed :)
Weapons will act as original arsenal as close as it will be possible. I will not touch 90% of code. There will be only few functions reworked to work better (few extremely unique). And will be reworked only after i consult most expirenced in programming people.
There are two ways. Both can be done.
1st. Import via skeletal meshes.
2nd. Work a bit more and import as UT mostly use - 3d format.
I prefer first one. But if will get troubles, should use second way
I promise.
I'm working alone, so development actually isn't as fast as i want - each thing i want to make needs a couple of time.
But it will be done.
Long live Unreal, Shad)
Maybe do you need any help? I'm not genius in programming but like to learn and learn fast ;)
I'm really interested in your project, cozz i love this game since i first time entered world of Na Pali somewhere between 2001 and 2002) and if it's possible i will be very glad to help you in any ways i can)
Can't wait more for newest build =|
Interesting to see))
Well, thanks for advices)
If things are like this, I'd better make a mod without SDK patch, but also learning SDK features separately)
Thanks a lot Shad, awesome work))
Understood.
What about if when i finish it, SDK will have more later version? Should it cause problems or every future version would contain that each previous had?
And when i release mod, i must told players that they must also have SDK kit because otherwise mod will be unplayable, yes?
Because as I understood, there must be SDK renderer activated...
Correct me if I'm wrong somewhere)
Looks great) this stuff very impressed me)
Is it possible to use SDK to build and support weapon mods? I'm very interested in this, cozz working now on some things and needed some specific effects that old engine can't provide...
