I was worrying this would happen when patching the game to 2.0.1. 15 Rounds of Sniper ammo used to cost 5k from Owl. Now they cost 1-2k. I also have 300 rounds of 9x18 pistol ammo when in my previous save before the patch I only had 20-50.

I know the patch just recently came out, but I have a question. Which version of misery 2.0 did you find harder/ more balanced and fluid. Misery 2.0 Original version or Misery 2.0.1. I am just asking because I'm unsure if I should update as ammo drop rates have increased while some other things have decreased (mutant drops). I am also wondering how long did it take the Misery Dev team to come up with the gameplay settings (ammo, drop rates, spawn rates etc) prior to the 2.0.1 update ? Thank you :).

Just a quick reminder if you want to make Call of Pripyat use anti-aliasing properly to change these lines in the User.ltx file

r3_msaa st_opt_off
r3_msaa_alphatest st_opt_off

r3_msaa st_opt_on
r3_msaa_alphatest st_opt_on

for best results it's better just to use a 3rd party program for Nvidia/Ati Cards to force it or just enchance it.

You could always disable Npc's infinite ammo in the game options.

Run Stalker-COP.exe as administrator. I also have the steam version of COP and I selected 1.62 instead of steam (during installation) which worked for me.

Quick tip for anyone experiencing lag.
Remember to change your fsgame.ltx located in the COP directory. Change this line

$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\

to this

$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\

I'm not sure if it's just a placebo effect, but it made my game very smooth (except for 30 second stutters). It also improved much of the visuals as well. Such as sun shafts being much more better. I also haven't been crashing as much as I used to. Also if you are using an HDD use some good software such as Diskeeper 2011 Pro Premier (2012 version has a bad interface so it's not recommended) I had around 42,000 fragmented files which my other defragmenter had missed. Hope this helps.

Nevermind, I accidentally replaced the file with another one. :)

I am also having performance issues (using a radeon hd 7870...FX-8320 8gb ram). I am using Catalyst 13.4 Drivers and 13.5 Profiles. I would suggest anyone having problems with AMD cards just to lower vision distance and grass density. Also try out RadeonPro and lower flip queue size from default to 0. Another setting in RadenoPro that will help is to enable triple buffering.

Settings to edit with a notable performance increase would be the in the Shadersettings.txt so disable/enable some features for better performance. This is what I have done and I get 40-50 fps.

P.S.
Motion blur is good for masking the stutter/lag, but there will still be some lag spikes that are noticeable.

Thank you boredgunner this mod pack is very fun and challenging :).

Could you upload your Shadersettings.txt file? I am having trouble setting it up to look like the video's you've uploaded on youtube. Thanks.
