My computer has been out of commission since Christmas, sorry but until I have the money to get another PC there will be no updates. I'm not going to make an official announcement or anything but I AM going to return to this mod when I have the time. It's senior year and I have a job, so even when my computer did work I had no time for mapping. I will when summer rolls around though, so just hold your horses!
Portal 2 was amazing in storyline and hilarious dialogue. The only thing I found to be missing was the sense of being alone and the puzzles were a bit to straightforward.
Awesome, I was really sad when Awakening moved to Portal 2 resources since it kind of killed the atmosphere, nice to see it returning! :D

Yeah, the map definitely isn't bad, but something is missing. I can't quite put my finger on it though, it's giving off a feeling of simplicity.
I imagine that this mod is what HL3/ep3 will look like, and I'm not disappointed! :)
This game would get really repetitive reeaally fast.
I know, I've played several mods and maps, and none have done this to my PC. For what reason do they keep all of these chambers connected in 1 map? Between every elevator sequence it should load a NEW map.

If I had to describe this mod in 1 word, it would be lag... Seriously separate the maps for goodness sake, it was unplayable.

I honestly thought this was a portal 1 screenshot till I saw the cube, could use textures and style from portal 2.

Okay, for one think I am very grateful that you replied in a mature and dignified manner, unlike whoever buried my comment and Mattey calling me stupid...
Anyway, I'm understand moving engines for these advantages, but the problem is that for SOME reason, don't ask me why, as I have no idea, but all Portal 2 mods using the default textures feel the same. This is NOT anything against you, because even I have a hard time finding a unique style using portal 2 resources. I don't know what it is, but portal 2 maps and mods tend to all have the same feeling to them.
I'm working on a mod called Escher Technologies, which is trying to break away from the current styles, and so far it's going pretty good. I just really hope you don't lose sight of what you originally had in mind, it was looking great...
I am getting VERY sick of these Portal 1 mods moving to the portal 2 engine. This completely destroys the originality of the mod, and this picture proves my point immensely.
I see no sign of new puzzle elements, and you removed the custom metal textures...
this is just asking for insults...
Maybe, but I really want to bring out the best of portal 1 in this mod, and the cake really was a big part. I remember the first time I saw signage in portal 2, I noticed that they removed the cake and that really gave it a very different feel.

There's only one white ceiling that shows up for me, and the tiles are far less defined, are you sure it's not a floor texture?

I'm not gonna lie though, for the bts areas I'm decompiling valves maps. It's just impossible to eyeball these things without being able to count tiles and stuff. I'm obviously changing a lot of things though, like the projector and the window frames.

Light emitting from nowhere
Not sure where to start the criticism here...
Ummm, for one thing use a different floor texture, pretty sure that's not made for the floor. Second of all, run the game in full screen so we don't see your window. Also, turn off your crosshairs when taking a picture. Lastly, the lighting looks like its coming out of nowhere because the light model is dark.
Other than that it's lookin' good!

Make the numbers black to fit in, but keep them the way they are to stand out :)
I'm not sure if you noticed, but I actually did change the color of the lighting. As for placement and detail, this is still a WIP, if you look there aren't indicator lights for the buttons. But I did change the brushes that would be in the light to a lightscale of 5, but the only lighting in the picture is from 2 spotlights. I'll add a projected texture in here soon :)

thank you, you actually used the crushers properly, I'm not sure what valve was thinking when they put the crappy crushers in co-op, they looked terrible

For the most part, yes, but lighting is temporary. (Most lighting comes from the observation rooms, and I haven't added this one yet) Any other things that need changing?

Another major glitch is that sometimes I have to restart the entire chamber because somehow I'll end up with 2 orange portals, and one of them isn't functional... This has happened to me in a few of the chambers...
