If you're using the steam version, right click the game in your library, select properties and set Launch Options to sweaw MODPATH=Mods\EAW-Re.

If it doesn't work, you need to make sure you have a folder called 'Mods' in your EAW local files, then save the mod in there.

Would this work with the GOG version of the game? I have the gold edition, which comes with EaW and FoC.

I fixed the target location to
"C:\GOG Games\Star Wars - Empire At War Gold\EAWX\swfoc.exe" "MODPATH=Mods/EAW-Re"

and my start location to
"C:\GOG Games\Star Wars - Empire At War Gold\EAWX"

The shortcut loads up normal FoC.
