Elder Kings

Mod review

What's there to say? The mod is fantastic. A great transition from The Elder Scrolls to Crusader Kings 2. This, and the Game of Thrones mod, make the game worth purchasing just for the mods.

I would've given it a 10, if it were updated more often. The incredible lack of updates, at least updating it to the compatible with the latest game updates (even if they didn't add new content, that would be nice), is very grating to be honest. But the mod is a lot of fun. I recommend it.

Crusader Kings 2: A Game of Thrones (CK2:AGOT)

Mod review

I have to review? What's there to review? Actually, why in the Seven Hells are you wasting time reading this? GO PLAY THIS MOD. Pronto.

This mod is fantastic. The content is second to none - I play this more than the base game now. I originally looked to this to keep me occupied until The Old Gods, an expansion for Crusader Kings 2, comes out. But now, I'm worried that this mod will have thrown me off of it entirely.

The scenarios are excellently done. Scripted events play out just like the books - although you can deviate entirely and go a separate direction with it all, should you wish, the option is there to play events just as they were in the Song of Ice and Fire books! The dueling system is fantastic, it's always fun to cut down a much hated rival on the field of battle when your armies clash. Although, sometimes, it can go the opposite direction...best watch that.

The music isn't the greatest, but hey. I mute it and play the Game of Thrones soundtracks in the background, that works for me. However, the rest of the game is good enough to merit a 10/10 review, even with the music being a bit off.

Keep up the great work, guys. I can't wait to see what else you have planned. Even if the Eastern Continent never comes out, I'm quite happy with just Westeros!

...that said, if the Eastern Continent DOES come out... Think we could possibly see a rebirth of the Valyrian Empire? Maybe? Hmm? Either way, looking forward to seeing where this goes in the future.
