If its only visible when the shields fail, would it cause that noticeable of a dip in frame rates?

Nevermind, I figured out the issue. I'm still having the same texture issues as others, although it could be my hardware (playing it on my old laptop with an Nvidia 8400M GT), may get different results on my desktop.

I am having problems getting the mod to work. I have the HaloHomefront.big file in the data folder, updated to 1.1, and have tried both "-overridebigfile" and "-mod HaloHomefront.big" (obviously with a space in front and no quotations) and the mod simply doesn't run. It just opens the normal game. The game itself runs fine, I'm running windows 7 if that affects it at all, idk.
