Hello there. This is, actually, the first time I use the blog system. It showed up on my mind when I saw someone getting contacted by a mod team because of his ModDB page. So I get the idea.
This is my first page, so I'll introduce myself. My nicknames are VGF or IlDucci, and my computer hobbies are 3D designing (Weapons, props, animations), and games translation, whether is of mods or what is known as "Romhacking". I'm 21 years old, and I'm currently learning to be a spanish voice actor.
And what I want to showcase here, basically, is my life as a 3D designer. This article will contain all the weapons from mods that are dead, or simply, were not published. Stuff from mods currently active will just be named so you can go to the mod page and see what is done.
I have worked in a few mods over the last... five, six years ago? My first model was done in home for Max Payne 1, then I jumped over Half-Life engine, where I have stayed for a long time. My mod history (As I can remember today) is:
- Spanish Civil War mod for HL1/HL2 (Shut down)
- Sands Of War for HL1 (Released)/HL2 (On Alpha stages), both currently shut down.
- Perfect Dark mod for HL1 (Released, but now closed).
- Perfect Dark: Source for Half-Life 2 (Released, reviving)
- SoftAir: Source for Half-Life 2 (Dead)
- Kurok for PSP (Released, dead)
- Halo: Solitude for PSP (Being developed)
And now, on to the weapons that I have created, with both MS3D (In my first years), and in 3DS MAX (On the last two years):
Low-polycount: USP.45, USP Match, SOCOM, Colt Python, Desert Eagle, MP5k, SPAS-12, M870 Shorty, FN-P90, Hk MP7, FN FAMAS. Except the Shorty, all of these weapons were going to be used in a personal project of myself, which was scrapped.
High-polycount: SoftAir Source's KSC Ingram M11A1, KSC's USP .45, Sands Of War's PSG-1, F2000, Unreleased M1 SOCOM, Unreleased GunCon 1.
What's missing:
From Perfect Dark: Source for Half-Life 2: RCP-120, Intro FMV, Player Weapon Animations, CMP150, First Person View unarmed, RCP, CMP, MagSec4 animations, tweaked almost all the anim sets.
From Halo: Solitude for PSP: Halo Ring, First Person Hands, Handgun, Assault Rifle, First person view weapon animations (Almost all of them)
So, here it is, my life as a 3D designer told in a couple of hundred words. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my job as much as I enjoyed developing those. If you read this, please leave your comments. Thank you.
You have animated all the guns in halo solitude so far :)
quite an impressive portfolio there, hit me up if you ever get short of work or bored!
