Hmmm...any plans to make a mod for "Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion"?

Yeah, I must admit. I read the installation instructions in the read me file. I hate to sound like an ***, but it over compensates a little bit too much for the idiot. The directions confused me a little too much and I gave up and just did it the way I've done it for all the other mods I've put on sins and it worked. I believe the instructions were trying to instruct me to do things the way I do them anyways. I'm not sure how I got confused.

All I did was this.

Found the mod folder which is the most difficult part of the whole thing anyways.

Created a folder for the files.

Unzipped the downloadable file into the new folder I created.

Launched sins and enabled the mod.

That's it.

You are correct. As it stands right now, I believe most of the coding was done waaaaay way waaaay long ago. Except for the minor tweakings and debuggings that go with any MOD. So far the biggest hold up has been textures and models. More textures actually. But progress is being made daily. For that we can at least be grateful. :)

No problemo. :P I get tired of reading the same responses as much as I do the same questions. Keep up the good work guys. We're all pullin' for ya here.

Uh...seriously? Alright...they are going to release it on a Tuesday. They just don't know which Tuesday. They left entrenchment because they decided to. They don't need a reason. And we are ALL anxiously awaiting this MOD because it will be MOD of the year...whichever year it comes out. Hopefully this one. But you have to be patient. :P

Anyways, there are previous posts and announcements that have been made by the development team that have explained all these things. I think we're mostly waiting on textures and icons and a few coding issues. They are running the Alpha release right now so that people can help them debug the current release. There's a post explaining that as well. Long story short...all the information you seek is available somewhere on this MOD page.

I have an idea...you don't have to make a ton of wraith meshes or anything. Just give the wraith hive ship some starbase functionality, like being a straight up carrier, or destroyer, or a balanced capital ship.

By starbase functionality, I mean being able to pick and choose and loadout your wraith hive ship in the same way you do the starbases. Just a thought.
