This mod is literally the only reason I had for buying DOOM 3.

Having played the original game back in 1999 (almost a year later due to shipping delays) I can say this game (yes, game, this isn't a mod to me) excels in every single detail. Keeping the original layout and storyline but adding things which were introduced with later installments (such as Eli, Kleiner and Lamarr at the beginning) was just awesome.

They took the old engine and brought it up to date with effects and new features (centering aimed view for the gun model, blood-splats everywhere, even on your armor and weapons, respecting the type of blood (and even that glowing radioactive thing from the bullsquids), ragdolls, ambient details, sounds, props, and an awesome soundtrack by the superb Joel Nielsen...

All combined made an epic journey for me. And it's not even finished yet! Can't wait for the Xen chapters!
