Twisted Jenius, developer of Twisty's Asylum Escapades.
We just posted the third developer blog for Reptile Zoo. Check it out!
Exactly, hiding is a big part of the game play. Whereas Slender games can be comparable to "adventure" style gameplay, Reptile Zoo will have stealth gameplay. While there is no doubt that this game is inspired by other first-person survival horror games like Slender, we're definitely hoping to add something new to the genre and create an original and frightening experience.
Check out our developer blog to stay up-to-date on the latest news for Reptile Zoo: The Sinister Mutation.
Thank you for the review! We're very happy that you linked the retro feel Twisty's Asylum Escapades. Many aspects of the game are very much a nod to games of previous generations.
Thanks for the let's play/review, glad you enjoyed it. I was happy that you recognized the fact that the maze aspects and exploring are part of the fun of the game.
Twisty's Asylum Escapades is still under active development. The reason we haven't put out any news or articles in a while is actually because it is still being developed. Due to being only a two man team, any time spent writing about our development is time we're not actually developing.
We're currently working on a massive update for the game and will begin blogging and promoting again after the update's release.
The game is currently still in beta and Desura puts all still-in-development titles under "Alphafunding", free or otherwise.
Thanks for the info, I'll check into what the issue might be.
Thanks for the Let's Play, I just watched it and that might be the best one I've seen far (I've seen about 10 or so). We'll check into that crash too.
The game is currently in beta so we still need feedback like this to help work out any remaining system specific issues. Any information you can provide would help.
For instance, are you using the stand-alone version or the Desura version of the game?
What was the exact wording of the error message?
What are your system specs (OS version, processor, RAM, and graphics card)? A DxDiag would be great.
We recently got another report of (what's likely) the same problem. I'll look into this issue as best I can; but I really need more information to help narrow it down.
Excellent! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it!
Thank you for the feedback and playing the game, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for watching Twisty's Asylum Escapades, I hope that you like what you've seen so far!
I didn't have any issues downloading it just now. Maybe it was just a temporary problem.
Thank you very much for doing the first "lets play" of our game! We were happy to see your video. Just as a tip, the posters give you more lives, they also give you points which you will need to get out of the asylum after you're done with the puzzle.
